Did you know that how we think as OT practitioners is very unique compared to how other health practitioners think?

Being more aware of our unique ways of thinking can hep us to more effectively apply our reasoning abilities and articulate our reasoning to others. Presenter Dr. Jan Trigilio Tona will engage us in evaluating and identifying our own professional (clinical) reasoning strategies used in OT practice. We will learn about procedural, interactive, and conditional reasoning and consider how each reasoning mode, especially when used in conjunction with each other, lead to "putting it all together" and "treating the whole person." Through discussion, we will recognize the advantages of mindfully incorporating multimodal reasoning strategies (the "Three-Track Mind Model") to support our therapeutic decision making and documentation of skilled OT services.
