CE Event Policy & Procedure

Please take a moment to read the following policies that apply to any and all courses NYSOTA offers for NYS Continuing Competency Hours.

These policies apply to all formats of education including, but not limited to, live presentations, pre-recorded sessions, and online webinars.

By attending a NYSOTA event, there is a chance you may be photographed and/or filmed. Attendance at a NYSOTA event constitutes permission for us to use your likeness in a photograph, audio or video recording, or other digital reproduction in any and all NYSOTA print or electronic publications, including website entries.

Special Needs Requests

NYSOTA will make a reasonable effort to promote a learning environment and utilize instructional methods that are accessible to everyone and will follow the guidelines set forth by ADA.

Course attendees must inform NYSOTA at least two weeks in advance of any special accommodations. 

 

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Refund Policy

In the event that you need to cancel your registration, you must notify NYSOTA in writing. Our refund policy is as follows:

  • Notify NYSOTA 30+ days before event for a 100% refund
  • Notify NYSOTA 21-29 days before event for a 75% refund
  • Notify NYSOTA 14-20 days before event for a 50% refund on registration less the cost of meals
  • No refunds will be given if NYSOTA is notified less than 14 days before event
  • Refunds are not available for registrants who are "no shows"

Exclusions: The above refund policy does not apply to the NYSOTA Annual Conference. For Conference, please refer to the Cancellation Policy information listed on the event registration page.

Cancellation Policy

In the event that NYSOTA is unable to hold a course, all participants will be notified via the email they provided during registration. A cancellation announcement will also be made on the website. NYSOTA will offer full refunds for any course we are unable to hold as intended.
